Opportunities

As we packed up our things to head to Florida, Robbie gave me a look I have seen only a few times...a look of excitement and pride.  Without words he communicated....."this is awesome!"  It is rare that Mr. Wilder finds something I do; or anyone does; awesome so I must enjoy the moment while it lasts haha!  Anyways, we arrived safely in Orlando and Robbie took off to Cape Coral to spend the night with his family and I came to Cape Canaveral to meet some teammates and check in.  I went for a little workout, did some stretching and had dinner with a really nice girl on the junior women's team named Steph!  I also met a few of my coaches and ate a fantastic calzone mmmm.  I am honored to represent my WONDERFUL country and so happy that my parents, and hubby will be there to cheer me on!

GO CANADA GO!

Thanks again to all my wonderful family and friends for your love and support throughout training and for the great send-off party.  Catch phrase next week anyone?

HOLIDAY recaP

Wow!  Isn't that something else.  I just may have to send that to Apple as a complimentary screen saver. Anyways, life is good.  It truly is.  Robbie and I have had two busy months since I last posted.  In late December Robbie's parents and Morgan along with my parents made the trip to the islands for AN HAWAIIAN OHANA CHRISTMAS.  The highlights of the trip included the University of Hawaii bowl game called the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl.  Although the Warriors lost to Notre Dame it was a lot of our family's first college football game.  A culture that Robbie and I learned quite well in University.  Before we knew it, it was Christmas morning with a busy agenda.  Stocking, coffee cake, presents and church.  Unfortunately Robbie had to go into work briefly but was back at 9 for dinner.  My good friend Ashley joined us as she was not able to make it back to Cali to see her family.  We loved having her!
A few days later we were off to the Island of Kauai for 5 days of craziness.  Day 1 we embarked on a 7.5 hour hike to some of the most breathtaking views we may ever see in our lifetime.  In fact, I am not sure that there are more beautiful views.  Everyone of us was a trooper and we made it out alive.  The remaining days on Kauai were spent recovering...hardly!  We were go go go the whole time.  We entered the NEW YEAR on the island watching The President's Daughter and barely staying awake for the countdown.  A glass of champagne and we were all OUT!
Days later the family was gone and Erika and Kevin arrived.  It was great to have them out.  They were recently engaged so we were able to celebrate with them while getting to know Kev better.  I approve and am honored to be a bridesmaid for their August 1010 wedding.
After about 4 weeks of guests....we are exhausted!!!!!!!!!!!  We made some great memories which we will not soon forget.  God has blessed us immensely and we are so grateful for our families safe travels and for all the good times we had this holiday season.
